After using WordPress for a while, you may notice that there are some areas of the post edit screen that you do not use at all. Similarly, you will notice certain sections that you use more often, but they are not ideally placed on the screen. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could re-arrange your post edit screen to the way that helps improve your writing experience? Well you can. Another way to reorder products in WooCommerce is to change the custom meta “menu order” field. If you click on your product, under the “Advanced” tab, you can assign a product a menu order such as 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. This would then reflect in the dashboard and the frontend of your shop. You can also use negative numbers. So for example, if you have a product that you want to appear at the top and you already have previously assigned menu orders, you could use -1 or -2. Some themes will also have menu orders available to change within custom post types.

To rearrange these boxes one can move them to the right column, which is fine, but if move them all to the right column and then decide to move some of them back you cannot do it. The drag-and-drop stops working. You need to have at least one box at the bottom of the post to be able to move the boxes back to there.
