I decided to disable trackbacks and pings for future post. But I still receive a lot of it and found out that my old existing published post’s were the culprit. And the way to disable this on old existing posts needs to run a MySQL query, so better backup your database first before performing the next steps.

Locate your WordPress database by logging in to your phpMyAdmin.
