Hello and welcome to WPBeginner and thanks for watching. In this video I'll show you how to disable login hints in WordPress login error messages. When you go to log into the back of your website and you accidentally put in the wrong username like this wordpress is giving you an idea of what's wrong and it says invalid username. If it's a hacker trying to get into your site then they just know that they need to keep trying a different username conversely if I enter the correct username but the incorrect password, it lets the hacker know that that's the right username but the password is incorrect so then now they know they have the right username now they just need to keep working on the password.
